Oil tanker terror attack in Jeddah

An oil tanker was attacked on Sunday night while harboured at Jeddah port’s fuel terminal by a vessel rigged with explosives.

The Singaporean tanker sustained significant damage to it’s hull but was not at risk from sinking.

This attack is the latest terror strike, and follows recent terror incidents by the Houthi rebels against the Saudi Royal Family including one other oil tanker and two oil facilities.

The vessel’s crew were unhurt and managed to put out the fire swiftly, without a significant loss of oil.
