Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud has lauded the Saudi security forces for maintaining law and order in Madinah during the month of Ramadan.

Prince Faisal made his statement during the iftar program of the security forces in the courtyard of the Prophet’s Mosque, and gave a gesture of appreciation for the security staff who have opted to break their fast in the field while on duty.

The event was attended by the Madinah police chief Abdul Hadi bin Shahrani, commander of the emergency force in the Madinah region Maj. Gen. Hamid Al-Tuwaiqri and Director of Madinah Traffic Maj. Gen. Mohamed Ajlan Al-Shanbari.

In a brief statement, Abdul Hadi said that the presence of the Governor of Medina at the iftar was a boost to the morale of the security forces: “We were all encouraged and energized by his valued presence at the iftar.”

He said that there are 17,000 security staff across the region of Medina, including the surrounding area of the Prophet’s Mosque.
