Saudi Prince launches Hajj awareness-raising campaign

Prince Khaled Al-Faisal launched the 12th awareness-raising campaign “Hajj: Worship and civilized conduct” under the banner of “A message of peace.”

The Prince’s campaign aims to raise awareness of Hajj regulations and the need to abide by them, and to see out bogus establishments that organize Hajj and Umrah services without the proper permits.

Prince Khaled also announced the launch of the Makkah governorate’s prizes for new media in a number of categories including Short film, photography, tweeting and Snapchat. The prizes are worth a total of $133,320.

During the launch press conference, Prince Khaled thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, for giving the governorate the required attention to carry out their mission, and asked Allah to help them to realise their ambitions

The press conference was also attended by Prince Badr bin Sultan, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, and Deputy Hajj and Umrah Minister Dr. Abdul Fattah Mashat.

Prince Khaled thanked all the involved sectors for serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as well as Prince Badr and the security services for their contributions.

The Prince addressed the attendees: “This year, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has added new systems to facilitate pilgrims’ arrival without any hardships, we wish these systems success, and we hope that pilgrims’ spiritual journey will be successful and easy,”.

“Every year, there are studies and research on the outcomes of the previous Hajj season because we’re keen to benefit from our experience. The Central Hajj Committee studies observations and remarks, and makes sure to prevent any negative aspects while enhancing and developing the positive aspects.”
