Saudi Arabia’s King Salman welcomes Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte

King Salman has welcomed Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte for a two-day state visit to the Kingdom, during which time the leader will meet the King and other members of the Saudi Royal family at the Royal Private Residence later today, after which he will attend a bilateral meeting and a signing ceremony.

An agreement has been drawn up regarding the protection of rights for the many Filipino workers present in the KSA, which will be signed during the course of President Duterte’s stay.

Duterte will then continue his Gulf tour, proceeding to Bahrain on Wednesday and Qatar later in the week.
