Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman met with the Director of US National Intelligence lieutenant general James Clapper in Jeddah yesterday.

During the meeting, the Deputy Crown Prince and Mr Clapper covered several issues of common interest between the two allies, according to the SPA.

The meeting was also attended by Khalid Alhmaidan, Saudi chief of general intelligence. Following the meeting of GCC leaders at Obama’s Camp David summit, the United States expanded its intelligence-sharing with Saudi Arabia, including both a joint missile defence system for the region, and the provision of intelligence regarding targets in the Saudi-led air campaign against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
