Today in Washington, October 15 (Reuters) – It has been announced that a delegation of U.S. senators is set to make a trip to the Middle East. The aim is to urge Israel and Saudi Arabia to resume discussions to normalize diplomatic ties, a mission set forth by South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham during an appearance on NBC’s popular program, “Meet the Press.”
The plan, as revealed by Graham, is to travel alongside a select group of senators to both Saudi Arabia and Israel in the foreseeable future. This move is devised to stimulate momentum for the U.S.-endorsed agreement, which witnessed a setback in light of the unexpected Hamas strike on Israel causing a halt in diplomatic Debates.
“There is a shared ambition to progress,” Graham said, referring to the normalization initiative between the two nations in his words.
