The Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, paid a visit to King Salman at his grand palace in Riyadh today. They discussed ways to further enhance already strong ties and bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, as well as the latest regional developments with a focus on issues currently facing Lebanon.
Also present at the meeting were the Saudi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and State Minister Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
In addition King Salman held a side meeting with the director general of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom. They talked over the WHO’s global initiatives and discussed ways to enhance cooperation.
Also today a number of high ranking officials from the Finance Ministry, Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, Capital Market Authority, chairmen of the boards of directors of Saudi banks, finance and insurance companies, visited King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace to discuss financial issues.
During the meeting, King Salman spoke of how important the role of the financial sector is in helping national economic development and its crucial nature in aiding the achievement of the objectives for Vision 2030.
