Saudi Leader Mohammed bin Salman met with Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in August to negotiate the Russia / Ukraine prisoners swap.
The prisoner swap comprised of Ukraine handing back 55 Russian captives, including the notorious tycoon Viktor Medvedchuk. In return, Russia handed 215 prisoners back to Ukraine. Ukraine’s foreign Ministry extended public thanks Prince Mohammed bun Salman for his part in the negotiations, proving him to be a skilled negotiator in these times of international strife.
The Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich has had severe sanctions imposed upon his assets by the UK, but is still been given a wide berth by the US government, partially due to his potential role as a peace broker in the coming months.
