
Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, has spoken about the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, describing the journalist’s death as a “heinous crime that cannot be justified”.
Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyad, referred to as “Davos in the desert”, the Crown Prince said all the criminals involved would be harshly punished, and that he would ensure “justice will prevail”.
This was the Crown Prince’s first statement on the missing Washington Post columnist since the incident 2 weeks ago at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, an event that continues to raise questions.
The Crown Prince made his remarks to a full auditorium of guests who listened as he discussed the unfortunate incident with moderator, shedding more light on the terrible crime that took place. The prince’s remarks were met with applause and were welcomed warmly by those in attendance.
