Saudi Royals in talks to host Connor McGregor Vs Floyd Mayweather Boxing and MMA fights for $1.3Billion USD

The Saudi Royal Family are in talks to host further contests between megastar combat athletes Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr for a record breaking $1.3Billion USD. Hosting the fights would be a major coup for Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who has thrust Saudi Arabia into mainstream sports by purchasing Newcastle United and hosting a heavyweight boxing title fight between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.

The contract under negotiation involves one fight between the pair under boxing rules, and a second under MMA rules, which would heavily favour veteran martial artist McGregor. It would be the first time Mayweather has fought under MMA rules. A newly invented title would be the prize, not unlike the BMF belt created for McGregor’s long-time rival Nathan Diaz’s bout with Jorge Masvidal.

More details will be announced in the coming days.
