Saudi Arabia vows to protect Aden from Houthi Rebels

Saudi Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri stated today that the coalition’s “main objective [is] to protect the government in Aden”. As the spokesman for “Operation Decisive Storm” the Brigadier spoke confidently about the aims of the operation, and gave a clear picture regarding the current situation on the ground, saying that the Saudi-lef coalition had gained complete control of Yemeni-airspace and was aiming to cut-off rebel supply routes and neutralise their air defences.

Operation Decisive storm began on Thursday, and now contains a coalition of more than 10 countries, including five members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
