King Salman cuts short France holiday and heads to Morocco
King Salman has cut short his holiday on the French Riviera, where the closure of a beach for his private use caused local uproar. More than 100,000 people signed a petition against the closure of the public beach at Vallauris for the King’s private use – the beach is usually open to the public.
From France the King flew to Morocco this morning. Accompanying his are at least half of his 1,000-strong entourage – King Salman rarely makes trips outside the GCC.
On his arrival at Tangier Airport, King Salman was greeted by the President of the Moroccan government Abdulilah Benkirane, the Wali of Tangier Mohamed Jacobite, and Commander director of the military garrison in Tangier Mohamed cleats.
