King Salman ordered on Tuesday that the National Guard join the military campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen, in steps to reinforce the border with Yemen.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted the National Guard Minister Prince Miteb bin Abdullah as saying he was “honored” by King Salman’s “decision that National Guard forces take part” as part of Operation Decisive Storm.

He was clear regaring the “complete readiness of all National Guard forces to carry out this role alongside other military bodies” in the Kingdom.
