King Salman & President Putin review key regional developments

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “They discussed the latest regional and international developments and reviewed bilateral relations,” according to the SPA.

Russia have taken a favourable stand on the UN Security Council Resolution 2216 that placed sanctions on Houthi rebels, backing the Saudi-led Operation, Decisive Storm. Moscow did not use its veto power to block the resolution. The UN vote was a considerable diplomatic victory for KSA.
