In a statement following the Camp David summit with GCC leaders, President Obama expressed his opinions on Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and the Deputy Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The President hailed a “successful summit” that deepened and broadened an already strong relationship between the US and its Gulf allies.

Speaking to Al Arabiya, the President commented “Mohammed bin Naif has been a partner with us in counterterrorism and security work for a very long time, so we have a great admiration for him.” When asked about his meeting with Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he said “This is the first time we had a chance to work closely with a deputy crown prince and he struck as extremely knowledgeable, very smart and wise beyond his years.”
