Speakers of GCC Shura
The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh today the speakers of Shura, Representatives, National and Nation councils in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States who are taking part in their 9th meeting.
At the outset of the meeting, the speakers of the Shura, Representatives, National and Nation councils conveyed to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques the greetings and appreciation of their leaders of the GCC states. In turn, the King sent his greetings and appreciation to them.
The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques welcomed the GCC councils’ speakers in their country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing them success in what would enhance the unity of GCC joint work at all levels, particularly the parliamentary field.
For their part, the speakers of GCC Shura, Representatives, National and Nation councils expressed their happiness to have an audience with the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, thanking him for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to them, confirming their keenness to consolidate cooperation and coordination among their councils in all fields and build fruitful ties with foreign parliamentary blocs to achieve the GCC objectives.
The audience was attended by the Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh; Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi; and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
