Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman faces a delicate balancing act as Iran attacks the Kingdom

Houthis launch drone attacks on Saudi airports

Yemen’s Houthi Rebels have launched drone strikes on Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid Air Base and Abha and Najran airports, the Houthis’ military spokesman reported.

The Houthi military spokesman claimed the attack on Abha airport “hit its targets” and disrupted traffic at both Abha and Najran.

However, a spokesman for the Saudi military coalition contested that the drones were intercepted and nullified before reaching the civilian airports.

The Houthis, who are still in control of the Yemeni capital Sanaa, have increased the technological level of their attacks, as well as attempting more frequent strikes against Saudi targets. This comes as Iran pour further funding into the conflict against their rivals the Al Saud Royal Family.
