House of Saud’s Minister of Trade and Investment heads delegation to GCC in Kuwait

His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassabi, headed the Saudi Kingdom’s delegation at the 56th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Committee on Trade Cooperation held in Kuwait yesterday to discuss a number of issues of common concern to GCC countries, inclduing Commercial Cooperation, the Unified Trade Law, the terms of reference of the Patent Office of the GCC States, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation initiatives for SMEs in the GCC States.

On the sidelines of the meeting, HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met with His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and His Excellency the Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim. In the presence of His Excellency the Secretary General of the GCC Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

The Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, stressed the importance of intensifying the work of the technical committees and enhancing the efforts exerted to develop joint GCC trade cooperation at all levels, National, regional and international. He expressed the hope that these issues will be translated into positive, practical and tangible results aimed at achieving the interests of the GCC countries.
